On the Movement
There is little sense in owning a watch whose service costs as much as the watch. The AEQVOR runs a movement chosen for exactly that reason — accurate, hacking, hand-winding, and serviceable by any competent watchmaker. Serviced every eighteen months to three years, it will never cost you more than the timepiece itself. That is the whole point.

The fit
Sleeve long enough that the bracelet disappears when your arm is down. A diver on show under a rolled sleeve is a different message from a diver glimpsed.
A steel diver on a bracelet is the most flexible watch anyone owns — it works everywhere except black tie. Black dial keeps it quiet enough for a Friday that might turn into a meeting.
Dressed down
The fit
Shoulder seam on the shoulder, sleeve ending mid-bicep. A tee that hangs past the elbow makes a 40mm case look like a toy.
The dial is the only colour in the outfit, which is exactly its job. One caveat worth knowing: a single accent works harder with company. Echo the yellow once somewhere small and it reads as a decision rather than a spot of colour.
