On the Movement
There is little sense in owning a watch whose service costs as much as the watch. The Viator runs a movement chosen for exactly that reason — accurate, hacking, hand-winding, and serviceable by any competent watchmaker. Serviced every eighteen months to three years, it will never cost you more than the timepiece itself. That is the whole point.

Rubber puts a ceiling on how far this dresses up and the ceiling is here. Past this it stops looking relaxed and starts looking wrong.
Dressed down
The fit
Nothing loose. Rubber and a relaxed fit together tip from sporting into scruffy faster than any other combination here.
Rubber is the one strap that does not mind sweat, which is the actual argument for it in summer — the rest is marketing. Green with khaki is earth on earth.
