On the Movement
There is little sense in owning a watch whose service costs as much as the watch. The Viator II runs a movement chosen for exactly that reason — accurate, hacking, hand-winding, and serviceable by any competent watchmaker. Serviced every eighteen months to three years, it will never cost you more than the timepiece itself. That is the whole point.

The fit
Bracelet sized so it sits still. A GMT that slides down over the hand under a cuff is the single most distracting thing you can wear to a meeting.
A GMT on steel is the traveller's compromise and it holds up in a room. Blue against navy is tonal rather than matching, which is the difference between considered and accidental.
Dressed down
The fit
Sleeve short enough that the bezel is readable without pushing anything up. If you have to shove a cuff to check a second time zone, the watch is not doing its job.
Gilt warms a black dial just enough to stop the whole outfit going cold. Steel keeps it easy — this is a watch you sleep in on a plane.
